I think one of professions that requires a lot of creativity is a teacher. Classroom could be the place to initiate creativity, and teachers should be supportive of that. As the blog mentioned, “Being creative is about finding innovative ways to solve problems, generating new ideas and finding ways to make things better”. Creativity is very important to be developed early in childhood so that they will grow up into creators and problem solvers.
There are three kind of games that would enhance creativity based on the blog.
1. Word Games
It allows children to make connections and establish relationships between different words. One of the example is Scrabbles. Play one here.
2. Visual Thinking Games
Encourage visualization and imagination. Can you develop a story for this picture?
Also find a visualization online game here.
3. Drawing Games
Certain types of drawing games can help students build on existing concepts, knowledge and ideas, another key aspect of creativity.
Remember this game?
As for teachers, learn to use variation of situation and types of games to spur creativity. Once in a wile, let the students choose what to do for the day.
